I am so freaking excited to be here to talk about one of my favorite things other than books, and what is that? Shopping.
I’ve been friends with Vilma for over 10 years now, and we both love design, and decor. For so long I have bounced things off of her, and we’ve talked about what we love in our homes. We also share having freshman kids going off to college this year. As soon as her post went up about Dorm room needs for boys, I was like, my friend, can you let me help the girl mamas out there?
So, if you’re getting ready to send your baby girl off to college, I feel you, and I have you.
My daughter and her roommate had never met, but they started talking on Instagram and decided they wanted to room together, I think a lot because of their desire for the same aesthetics. Once they were paired together, it has been a gauntlet of … shopping.
Now, girls and boys are COMPLETELY different animals in my experience. My son was like, I don’t want anything. No decorations, no pillows, no organization things. There was no mood board. My daughter … sweet heaven. I should’ve counted my blessings with my oldest, because the second is nothing like it.
However, there are some things I’ve learned that are truly helpful.
Buckle up, and let’s be broke together.
